During the pandemic in 2020, Heavy Soul Tattoos became a goal after the closing of multiple tattoo studios. What started as an idea came to life as of March 13th, 2021.

Heavy Soul Tattoos was always suppose to be a business that interacted with the community and gave back when it could. Somewhere individuals of every race, gender, or sexuality could come without judgment but acceptance. Where artists' care about their clients and don't treat them as canvas to be serviced then moved on from.

After a lot of work and commitment from our staff, Heavy Soul Tattoos has become that place. We take an active interest in the local youths education and offer co-op placements for students. During these placements not only do the students work through art sessions but basic training in Blood borne Pathogens. This also includes understanding the requirements of our Health Board.

We work hard to make sure every client is heard and make their experience individualized to their needs. This includes educating clientele on health and safety, listening and acknowledging their concerns/fears, as well as asking clientele what would make them most comfortable during their service. Piercings and Tattoos are an invasive procedure which can be scary or uncomfortable for clients. It is our responsibility to guide clientele through these procedures with compassion.
